Adecco is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Systems Designer for our global client located in Peterborough. This Intermediate Systems Designer is a PERMANENT position. An Intermediate Systems Designer requires advanced formal engineering experience at the level of product or subsystem design, implementation and verification. Job responsibilities include analysis, decomposition and refinement of requirements and planning and execution of verification test campaigns.
This position reports to the Systems Engineering Manager and is part of a dynamic team implementing positive change to an already excellent organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all tasks normally associated with the Systems Engineering and Electronic Product Design discipline including Design, Implementation, Validation and Verification Analysis and understanding of customer and certification needs/requirements;
  • Define verification and qualification methods and criteria Analyze, decompose, refine and derive product level requirements
  • Define validation and verification methods to support product development Identify and mitigate risks Support product level safety assessments, analysis and verification activities
  • Manage the requirements and their trace-ability Complete other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience with embedded control systems in aerospace, rail or automotive industries with high safety criticality
  • Good knowledge of civil/military specifications standards and practices: DO178B, DO254, DO160, ARP4754A, ARP4761
  • Strong understanding of system design risk management, costs, and drivers
  • Experience with trace-ability tools (i.e. DOORS) Must be eligible to meet requirements of CGRP or ITAR
  • Computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Internet, and email
  • Above-average math skills and good communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills associated with data management and analysis (MatLab, scripting, etc) are an asset
