Adecco Engineering & Technology Recruitment is currently searching for an Inventory Control Coordinator. This hybrid, temporary, full-time position is a 1+ year contract in Mississauga on direct client payroll and would be reporting to the onsite Production Planning / Inventory Control Manager.  This position is a key member of the department and is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of finished products and packaging components valued at over $20M by coordinating all the inventory counts with operations.  This is critical for schedulers to keep operations running and to accounting controllers for financial reporting accuracy.  This person also coordinates transportation inventory counts.  This position is on lead for the development and execution of improvement initiatives to achieve and sustain loss control practices.  This position will also play a key role in providing coverage and support to the scheduling functions within the department.

REQUIREMENTS - Inventory Control Coordinator

- 5 years of related experience in inventory control and supply chain experience in manufacturing
- Knowledge of global supply chains and continuous manufacturing processes is preferred
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze problems, understand potential impacts to business and recommend action given on given products/components
- Materials management experience
- Post-Secondary education in a related area is preferred 
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and with an ERP system (SAP preferred)
- Strong organizational skills to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with union and non-union employees
- Non-authoritative leadership skills
- Good understanding of business goals and objectives
- Ability to multi-task and make decisions with limited information available
- Team player, but capable of working independently
- Ability to understand production processes and how that is translated in SAP
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Detailed oriented

RESPONSIBILITIES - Inventory Control Coordinator

- Coordinate all transportation inventory counts with transportation team as required per schedule
- Troubleshoot daily posting issues to clear SAP production orders and ensure that product can be delivered to customers as scheduled
- Coordinate with operations to ensure that all inventory counts (>$20M CDN) are completed at least once a quarter
- Reconcile inventory counts to SAP numbers and coordinate rechecks as required
- Resolve any errors regarding production orders, and assist billing with any posting issues 
- Perform goods receipt on incoming purchase orders including
- Lead investigation to reduce losses by working with operations personnel, supply chain, suppliers and management
- Assist accounts payable and procurement with corrections on inventory receipts for all purchase orders 
- Ensure accurate transfers within SAP with respect to manual movements
- Back up the scheduling functions for vacation
