Adecco is hiring an Information Technology Project Manager in Maxville, Ontario. Our client is a Canadian owned and operated fuel and convenience provider.
The Project Manager takes the lead for assigned IT projects across the organization. This individual is hands-on and is involved with IT hardware, software, associated peripherals, communication devices, and interaction with the business.
We are looking for an individual who is looking to learn, grow, and become part of a developing Information Technology team. Having an innate desire to explore new ways and discover how technology supports the business will be the key to success in this position. This role will help transform and improve our IT Project Management.
This position is based at the Company’s Head Office in Maxville, Ontario and reports to the Director, Information Technology. Occasional travel may be required to other Company locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the management of the entire project lifecycle of the assigned project(s), from project initiation, execution, closure and evaluation.
Ensure projects are moving forward by managing time, scope, budget, resources, risks, and issues.
Manage the challenges of scope creep and time slippage by staying on top of project issues and requests.
Manage priorities and ensure all deliverables are completed as per the agreed timelines.
Build and maintain the critical relationships with project stakeholders that will ensure project success.
Build, organize and motivate project teams by managing daily activities and deliverables.
Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process by developing testing plans and managing the progress.
Ability to adapt to different roles that suit the stage/phase of the project.
Documents project status so all stakeholders are aware of progress and responsibilities with the project.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
3-5 years of relevant IT Project Management experience.
Project Management Certification (PMP).
Ability to influence, negotiate and develop relationships at multiple levels, and across a wide spectrum of personalities and functions, energizes and engages others.
Demonstrated ability to present strategies and plans to project stakeholders while demonstrating sound reasoning and decision-making abilities.
Proven project management skills, including balancing multiple tasks, highly organized, planning, ability to integrate, order and prioritize multiple streams of information, and keep things running smoothly.
Exercise sound judgement and sharp problem-solving skills.
Open to innovation and ways to solve challenges in a creative way to help advance organizational goals.
Previous experience with ERP upgrades.
Demonstrated experience with transition to the Cloud (Azure).
Customer service experience, skills, and ability to handle pressure situations.
Patient, personable, high energy, dependable demonstrating a positive attitude.
Desire to take ownership of issues – self-starter.
Experience in IT in a retail, transportation, and/or home heating environment would be an advantage.
Willing and able to work 5 days a week from 8am – 5pm.
