Adecco Technology is currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician for a full-time  contract of 3 months with chances of flipping to a permanent job.

Our client is located on the North-Shore of Montreal in Saint-Eustache.

Tasks and Responsabilities of IT Support Technician : 

  • Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software;
  • Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel across the organization;
  • Verify functionality of hardware and software components;
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone;
  • Set up new smart phones, iPads and workstations with the necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.);
  • Check computer hardware (mouse, keyboard, etc.) to ensure functionality;
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to the department’s needs and standards;
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment;
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance;
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.);
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedules;
  • Develop and implement, in collaboration with the Manager, Technical Support and Infrastructure, efficient technical processes in order to quickly address clients’ problems to minimize downtime;
  • Carry out assessments to determine the need for changes in hardware/software configurations;
  • Educate personnel on procedures for resolving or preventing recurrence of a technical problem;
  • Provide IT solutions to personnel in non-technical and comprehensible terms;
  • Prepare and present reports to update management on IT support operations;
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on computer systems to ensure efficient operations;
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends.
  • Requirements of the IT Support Technician : 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2 years of experience providing IT support.
  • Experience with basic network administration, firewalls, VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, printers, smart phones and tablets.
  •  Skills :

  • Able to prioritize, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Autonomous, sense of initiative and a high sense of organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in both English and French.
  • Aptitude for team work.
  • Able to understand rapidly interactions between business systems.
  • Comprehension of CRM, voice over IP, ERP and web platform/technologies.
