Adecco is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Java Developer for a 12-month contract with possibility of extension with our Crown Corporation Client located in Kanata, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for one.

The Intermediate Java Developer will have the following responsibilities:

  • Understands and interprets functional requirements as set forth in the functional design documents.
  • Analyzes technical solutions that will satisfy the functional requirements.
  • Designs, develops and unit tests technical solutions for moderate to complex work objects assigned.
  • Provides support to test teams during product and UAT testing of the technical solution developed.
  • Prepares and Implements the technical solution to the production environment. Investigates and provides post implementation support of the technical solution implemented.
  • Experience with various technologies and standards (e.g. Java 1.8, JavaScript, Spring, MVC, Server Side templating etc.).

The Intermediate Java Developer must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years, significant position related experience required.
  • Strong Front End Experience. HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, CSS (Bootstrap, Foundations)
  • Experience with Java 1.8, Spring, MVC, Server-Side templating (JSF/Thymeleaf)
  • Accessibility knowledge

Nice to Have:

  • Webservice technology experience (SOAP & REST)
  • Agile experience
  • Client side Debugging skills.
