Adecco is currently recruiting to a full time permanent Jr. Accountant job in Calgary, AB. The Jr. Accountant will work in a hands on role and be responsible for a full cycle accounting function. Our client is a well established service provider in the athletic industry. They offer a dynamic and fun atmosphere, a positive, friendly and creative environment with a competitive salary.
Jr. Accountant Responsibilities:

Accountable to a full cycle accounting function including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month end bank reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements
Manage and reconcile all government remittances and GST
Prepare internal reports and analysis
Assist with forecasting and budgeting
Develop and maintain systems, controls and procedures
Assist in other general accounting functions as required

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a related post secondary diploma in business/accounting coupled with a minimum of 5 years of full cycle accounting experience in a hands on role
Alternatively an additional 3+ years of experience in a similar role without post secondary would be acceptable
A team player who possesses strong analytical skills and has the proven ability to work well on their own
Previous experience utilizing Quickbooks is an asset. Must be comfortable in MSOffice (Excel) as well
High energy, positive attitude and the willingness to contribute
Open to making change and contributing to process improvement
