The responsibilities for the Junior Accountant in Toronto, ON may include but are not limited to:

Hands on experience with financial statements
Bank statements and general ledger reconciliation
Posting journal entries
Processing invoices and charging expense accounts as needed
Assisting with the preparation of checks and processing payroll for employees
Prepare year-end documents for auditors
Managing key operational and financial reports
Attending meetings and preparing presentations as requested
Following all organizational policies and legal procedures


The qualifications for the Junior Accountant role include:

Working towards CPA would be an asset
1+ year of related experience in Accounts Payable, Payroll, or related field preferred
General knowledge on key Accounting terminology and principles
Proficient in Excel or other Accounting systems such as Sage, QuickBooks or SAP
Strong communication skill and ability to work independently under tight deadlines
