Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Junior Apparel Product Developer to work directly for our client located in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of our clients apparel products. They are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Location: Vancouver, BC

  • Pay Rate: $67k-$80k/year plus bonus

  • Required Availability: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist research & development of new styles in various categories – denim, tops, cut & sew, accessories.

  • Produce detailed & accurate garment tech packs, including BOM, specifications, design details.

  • Liaise with international development teams in China, Japan, Europe and beyond to solve problems throughout sampling & production phases.

  • Take part in fittings – measuring & photographing samples, taking detailed notes and conveying corrections to factories

  • Assist with sourcing of fabrics and trims.

  • Assist with care and content label upkeep and development.

  • Follow garment from development stage all the way through production stages to finished product.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain timelines and meet critical deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as the project requires.

  • Keen interest in fashion, denim, streetwear, and luxury brands.

  • Ability to navigate OneDrive, Microsoft Office, and Teams would be an asset.

  • Willingness and ability to learn are crucial.

  • Take on special projects as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • 4-year degree in fashion design, or equivalent training.

  • Must have experience in Cotton appeal

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in apparel technical design and Product development or production environment.

  • Hands-on experience with garment measurements and POM.

  • Proficiency in using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

  • Proficiency in using Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Knowledge and/or good understanding of grading would be an asset.
