Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Bilingual Junior Buyer to work for our client, a leading provider of business-to-business distribution, logistics services and supply chain solutions in Pointe- Claire, QC. In this role you will be responsible for placing the orders and authorizes them, respecting the established limits. Expedites order processing, tracks deliveries, resolves delivery errors, and maintains accurate records within established guidelines.   • Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates the prices and services offered by the various suppliers in order to choose the best ones.
  • May negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
  • Tracks orders and delivery with suppliers and communicates order information to relevant customers.
  • Maintains accurate purchasing, pricing, and costing data of applicable business systems.
  • Enters orders in accordance with purchasing procedures and customer contract regulations
  • Reviews daily error notices on orders placed and takes appropriate action.
  • Coordinates product replacement and removals.
  • Examines all types of problems.
  • Complies with standard policies, procedures, internal checks and controls and quality control processes. Understands and adheres to ISO standards and adheres to company procedures regarding document control, purchasing, process control, corrective and preventive action, and quality record verification.
  • Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of Excel (V-Look Up /Pivot Table etc.)
  • Able to read engineering drawings is required
  • Bilingual in French and English, both written and oral
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of purchasing and inventory concepts, practices and procedures within MRO purchasing
  • Knowledge of the MRO industry, including suppliers, customers, and competitors
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized, strong attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Good computer skills, including purchasing and inventory systems, programs and reports
  • Ability to exercise good judgment
  • Resourceful and able to take initiative
  • Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Experience in the field of purchasing 2 years (or studies in the field an asset
  • EXPERIENCE:
    1. Purchasing in the supply chain – Experience 2 years
    2. Purchasing style: MRO
  • CEGEP or College or University
  • Supply chain or related element or experience relevant equivalent
