Toronto Professional Adecco Branch is currently recruiting for a Junior Legal Administrative Assistant $40K to $48K depending on experience. Our Client is a well-established Law Firm and you will be supporting 2 to 3 Lawyers specializing in Wills and Estates located in Toronto, a short distance from the subway, just west of Downtown Toronto. They are seeking a Junior Legal Administrative Assistant with legal administrative skills, knowledge and expertise working with Wills and Estates. You must be someone whose goals and expertise match up, with a "How Can I Help" attitude providing superb service for their Clients.
This Junior Legal Administrative Assistant working with Wills and Estates opportunity is a Permanent Opportunity starting immediately, Monday to Friday-8:30am to 4:30pm, offering an annual salary of $40K to $48K with Great Benefits, depending on experience.


Our Client is looking for someone who enjoys being a legal assistant and sees that as their long term goal. The type of growth they could offer would surround the role as a legal assistant and not becoming a clerk or becoming a lawyer.

The lawyers that the candidate would be supporting are junior. They would like to grow with their assistant and have the same one for a long period of time. They typically do not hire candidates that are looking to be lawyers.


You need to have a general interest in Wills and Estates to fit into this department, it is helpful that someone knows the area of this type of law, Wills and Estates, so that their expectations are aligned with what the role offers.


It is a great asset to have supported a Lawyer or Lawyers who work with Wills and Estates to apply.

Junior Legal Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will be providing full Legal administrative support and meet the needs of 2 to 3 Lawyers specializing in Wills and Estates.

Some of the direct responsibilities of this Junior Legal Administrative Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON may include but are not limited to:
General Office and clerical duties such as:
Scheduling appointments, some administrative duties with respect to accounting, opening and closing files, scanning, filing, photocopying printing, docketing, billing, preparing and editing emails, correspondence. Memos, reports, authorizations, directions, retainers, forms and other documentation. Proofreading documents against originals and prepare as necessary.
Working with all forms of Wills and Estates legal documents including managing key dates, and updating calendars for lawyers, including appointments, due dates and client-related activities managing and/or assisting with organization and maintenance of the Wills Vault, as well as addressing all requests pertaining to storing or retrieving Wills and other Estate planning documents.


The skills and qualification for this Junior Legal Administrative Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON include but are not limited to:

TO APPLY YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR A LAWYER OR LAWYERS WHO SPECIALIZE IN WILLS AND ESTATES.

At least 1 to 2 years demonstrated Legal Assistant expertise in Wills and Estates.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word/Outlook.
Excellent organization skills and the ability to keep information confidential.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a flexible and positive attitude.
You will be self-motivated with the ability to successfully support and work with the Wills and Estates Lawyers.
Successful completion of post-secondary education, with the focus being on legal administration or equivalent.
Must have solid written/verbal communication along with a strong can do work ethic.
