Adecco is currently recruiting for a Payroll Clerk for a 3-Month contract with a strong possibility of extension. Our Client is located in Ottawa, ON. The ideal candidate has some background experience working in payroll or bookkeeping, looking for an entry-level opportunity.

The Payroll Clerk will have the following responsibilities:
-Responsible for the processing of payroll for multiple inputs in a timely and accurate manner;
-Provide direct administrative support to the payroll team as they transition information to new input systems;
-Prepare Records of employment and monitor payroll information to audit standards;
-Create basic reports using the available tools for analysis of payroll structure;
-Other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

The Payroll Clerk must meet the following mandatory requirements:
-    Hold an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or in a related field;
-    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
-    Experience working with timekeeping systems, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook
-    Ability to communicate effectively (written & oral);
-    Strong skills using Microsoft Excel (Data entry, macros, Vlookup);
-    Experience working with Low-level bookkeeping and payroll.

Nice to have:
-    Bilingualism (French & English) considered a strong asset;
-    Experience with Ceridian Dayforce considered an asset;
