Adecco is currently recruiting for a Kitter (Night shift) to work with our client located in Ottawa, ON. The opportunity is an initial 6-month contract with possibility of permanence following the contract term. The successful candidate must be eligible for a controlled goods security clearance.
The Kitter will have the following responsibilities:
-Provide end-user and system support to agile teams using dev ops tools & platforms;
-Effectively communicate with other shifts to establish and verify production status at shift handover with outgoing/incoming teammate;
-Ensure a proper and continuous supply of raw materials (not resin) for production jobs running and scheduled to run packaging materials (cardboard, bags, etc.), part components (inserts, screws, springs, blades, etc.);
-A maximum supply of 2 hours for each job running is required, unless otherwise stated or authorized by a Production or Warehouse Supervisor ;
-Must be done in a timely manner (no Workstation should run out of resources before replenishing);
-If there is excess resources at a job end, ensure that all items are identified and removed from the Work Station and recorded in IQMS;
-Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout your shift and at shift handover;
-Record transactions (movements and consumption) of kitted materials accurately on paper and/or through the company’s ERP system (computer software);
-Assist in the improvement and maintaining of inventory accuracy;
-Contribute ideas for continuous improvement initiatives;
-Ensure compliance with safe work and environmental practices;
-Read and comply with all OMC policies and guiding principles;
-Not accept, create or pass on defects to respect a Zero Defect Culture; 
The Kitter must meet the following mandatory requirements:
-Hold a High School or College Diploma;
-2+ years of experience with Manufacturing and/or warehouse experience an asset; 
-Strong English, written and verbal communication skills;
-Good math skills, related to counts, volume, percentages; 
-Reasonable level of physical fitness to cope with the active nature of the job;
-Forklift driver license;
