Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, part-time Laboratory Clerk for the Provincial Health Service Authority located in the province of British Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting laboratory professionals with processing test requisitions and matching them with patient samples.   • Pay Rate: $22.58/hour 
  • Location: Various locations in Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley
  • Shifts: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM | 3:00 PM-11:00 PM | 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • Required Availability: 2 to 5 shifts per week (open 7 days a week)
  • Job Type: Full-time | Temporary – possibility of extension

  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Performing data entry and general word processing functions such as inputting client information into computerized systems, maintaining registers, and typing correspondence, reports and documents
  • Receiving and processing test requisitions, matching them with patient samples when required
  • Entering, searching and retrieving information from computerized information systems
  • Entering test orders into information systems in accordance with established procedures
  • Performing general record management and filing duties
  • Receiving, recording, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, internal correspondence, and courier documents
  • Answering telephone calls and maintaining inventory of department supplies as needed
  • To qualify, you should:

  • High School/Grade 12 graduation
  • Two (2) years of recent and related experience or an equivalent combination of education or training
  • Must have at least 45 wpm typing speed on a keyboard
  • Ability to communicate effectively - both verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to physically carry out the duties of the position; organize & prioritize work
  • Ability to deal with others effectively and operate related equipment with care
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
