Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time experienced Lead Solutions Systems Architect to work for our client, a global professional services firm in Toronto, ON. In this role you will be responsible for driving Solution Architecture best practice across our clients’ teams, providing team management, strategic direction and thought mentorship to the team of global Solution Architects, enabling them to deliver solutions aligned with technical strategy.

  • Pay Rate: $107.00/hour

  • Location: Toronto, ON

  • Shift: 8:00am – 5:00pm | Remote or Onsite: 3 days onsite (Tuesday or Wednesday as Anchor Day)

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 6-month contract

Responsibilities:

  • Work with other as part of the Product Development and Engineering Leadership Team

  • Lead the Solution Architecture practice, ensuring standards, frameworks and policies are in place and aligned with our technical strategy

  • Manage a high performing team of Solution Architects whilst driving a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing

  • Collaborate with MMC Enterprise Architects to drive the evolution of the technology portfolio in support of the business strategy

  • Ensure that project Architecture resourcing needs are met, and that architecture processes and policies are adhered to during delivery

  • Represent the Solution Architecture practice in discussions with central functions and partners across the organisation (such as Enterprise Architecture)

  • Provide technical expertise on key initiatives that have a departmental impact (such data centre migrations)

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in solution architecture

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a senior solution architect with hands-on experience in solution design

  • An expert understanding of solution architecture standards and best practices

  • Extensive experience designing solutions that can be rapidly built, tested and deployed using Agile best practices

  • Demonstrated experience in guiding and developing a team of Solution Architects

  • Excellent relationship building skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with senior business and technology partners

  • Advanced communication skills at all levels, including the ability to convey complex technical strategy and obstacles to senior business and technology partners

  • In-depth knowledge of modern software architectures, including microservices, APIs, cloud computing, data insights and modernization patterns

Qualifications:

  • 9 or 10 years'; Industry Experience (Sr. Role)

  • MEAN stack, Python, or any other middleware technologies

  • Cloud Technology - AWS, Azure, Oracle AWS Cloud

  • Multi Factor Authentication, Single Sign On (OAuth, SAML)

  • Containerization / Kubernetes

  • Microservice based architecture

  • Secure By Design concepts, Secure DevOps

  • Exposure to Big Data / Data Lake / LakeHouse/ BI Tools

  • Application Performance Monitoring (APM) techniques

  • Large language models

  • Agile

  • Recognized document standards (C4, UML, Archimate)

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
