CORPORATE LEGAL ASSISTANT-PERMANENT POSITION-IMMEDIATE START

Toronto Professional Adecco Branch is currently recruiting for a Permanent Corporate Intermediate or Senior Legal Assistant for our Client. a Mid-Sized, Growing Law Firm with over 70 employees, located in Toronto. This Corporate Intermediate or Senior Legal Assistant is a Permanent Opportunity-Annual Salary is $50K to $65K with excellent Benefits. Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm with some overtime involved-Full-Time Hours. You must have at least 3 years strong Corporate/Commercial experience to be considered for this job.

Corporate Intermediate or Senior Legal Assistant Responsibilities:

Some of the direct responsibilities of this Intermediate or Senior Legal Assistant Permanent job opening in Toronto, ON may include but are not limited to:

Reporting to 2 Lawyers in the Business Law Group-(Senior and Junior)


To provide full legal assistant support to two lawyers, and work collaboratively with the entire business law department.
This is a heavy Administrative Role with Clerical work involved, Docketing, Letters, Emails to Clients, Filing and Scanning involved.



Provide outstanding client service in communications, drafting and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
Manage key dates and update calendars for lawyers, including appointments, due dates and client-related activities
Provide support on all aspects of major transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, sales, re- organizations, re-financings and general corporate work, including minute book review and maintenance, incorporations, dissolutions, contracts and reporting, etc.
Build strong relationships with clients from a range of professional backgrounds
Engage in file management (e.g. setting deadlines, file reviews and etc.)
General administrative duties, including but not limited to docketing own time, scanning, filing, photocopying, scheduling appointments, file opening and closing and etc.
Other duties as assigned




SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED:

Miniumum 3 Years experience and understands the foundation of Corporate Law Business Terminology and Functions.

PCLaw experience a great asset. Our Client is looking for a hard working and loves to be busy, someone who has done a transaction, articles of incorporation and has worked with Corporate Software.
