Adecco is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Licensed Automotive Mechanic in Middle Sackville, NS to work at a well-known and well-established company majoring in the automotive industry. In this role, not only will you be responsible for adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, but also road test vehicles and test automotive systems and components.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role, a Red Seal Certification and be proficient in the use of all tools of trade, including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools.
Pay rate: $65,000 - $100,000 / year based on experience
Location: Middle Sackville, NS
Shifts: Monday to Friday; 7h30 - 17h00

Duties and Responsibilities:
Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
Identify and report any additional maintenance and/or repairs found necessary in conducting assigned repairs and maintenance
Record time spent, parts used and repairs and/or maintenance conducted on appropriate form
Road test vehicles and test automotive systems and components
Advise manager & service advisors on work performed and future repair requirements
Perform maintenance tasks & maintain work area
Work in accordance with all safety procedures, regulations and standards
Requirements and Qualifications:
A Red Seal Certification is required
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role
Specialized in repairing & troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission & differentials including replacing complete assemblies, turbocharges, fuel system components etc.
Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools) is required
Able to work with new technology & equipment and maintain careful records of work performed
Must have Basic computer skills
A valid driver's license is required
Should have a high degree of professionalism, exceptional organizational skills and a great commitment to a safe workplace
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, independently as well as part of a team
Possess a strong awareness of quality control
Possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude
Work in accordance with all safety procedures, regulations and standards
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
