Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:
While working in the Hydroforma room:
Ensuring proper film and lot code information is logged accurately.
Performing quality checks as specified.
Operating the machine in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensuring GMP procedures are followed.
Ensuring the department is run to maximize quality and productivity.
Focusing on customer expectations, preventing problems, and striving for continuous improvement in quality and productivity.
Maintaining good housekeeping and safety procedures.
Understanding and following all S.O.P.’s.
Effective start up and shut down of equipment.
Demonstrating knowledge of HMI controls.
Demonstrating troubleshooting knowledge.
Ability to recognize out of spec situations and adjust accordingly.
Minor Maintenance: Slitter blade replacement, Machine Set up, Pump adjustments.
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and team building skills with a progressive “can do” attitude.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Works well with others.
High School Diploma
2-3 years’ experience operating microprocessor-controlled machine, required.
Plant environment can be hot, dusty and noisy.
When required, must be flexible to work on night shift.
Shift work: must be available to work on the day/afternoon shift during the training period and periodically work on the night shift for vacation coverage and business demands.
Standing; Bending; Lifting (up to 50 lbs.); repetitive motions
Must be available to work additional hours for cleaning purposes. (Saturdays)
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
