Adecco is looking for Machine Operator (Wire Spooler) to join one of its reputable clients that specializes in Welding in Mississauga. Ideal candidate to have experience in Wire Spooling, responsible for verifying cast, wire cleanliness and identification.

Shift: 11:00pm- 7:00 am Monday-Friday (Night Shift)

Pay : $17.52/h+ $1 premium for working night shifts

  • Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operating the MIG Wire finished product winding equipment
  • Reports to the Finished Goods Team Leader/ Production Supervisor and/or Department Manager
  • The MIG Wire Spooler is responsible for verifying cast, helix, finished product net weight, wire cleanliness, and identification.
  • Takes finished product samples for Q.A. testing. Maintains the proper housekeeping of his work area
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Finished Goods Team Leader/ Production Supervisor and/ or Department Manager.
  • Maintain the proper housekeeping of the entire work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Wire Mill Team Leader, Production Supervisor and/or Department Manager
  • Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift heavy upto 50lbs
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent experience
  • Must be proficient and understand the use of the following:
  • Draw benches, roller stands
  • Pay-off stands, coiler
  • Butt welder
  • Micrometer/Vernier
  • Die Setups
  • Draw Chain
  • Wire pointer
  • Must have a High School education or equivalent experience.
  • Comfortable with physically fitness and mechanically inclined
