Machinery Engineer Job in Fort McMurray, AB

Adecco is in the hunt to fill a Machinery Engineer Job in Fort McMurray, AB. The ideal candidate will be a local to Fort McMurray, be a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA and have a minimum of five years Rotating Machinery experience within oil & gas. The Machinery Engineer will be providing general mechanical engineering support for Equipment Strategies, Risk Base Work Selection, and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA). This is a long-term contract position with a work schedule of Monday to Friday.

 

Machinery Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead investigations on rotating equipment, including the development and implementation
  • Provide engineering Non-Process Quality Control (NPQC) support to capital projects
  • Develop specifications for machinery equipment (pump, compressor, turbine, fans, generators)
  • Prepare scopes and engineering packages for both routine and non-routine maintenance
  • Provide input into shutdown scope development
  •  

     

    Machinery Engineer Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of rotating machinery experience in the Oil & Gas
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) with APEGA
  • Experience in Equipment Strategy Development in a multi discipline team for key units
  • Experience in Root Cause Failure Analysis for rotating equipment
