Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Machinery Engineer in Fort McMurray, AB, to work a long-term contract at a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands, in Fort McMurray, AB. Duties and Responsibilities:
Support business units in identifying, managing, and eliminating emerging threats to
operations
Proactively perform equipment health monitoring tasks using process and condition
monitoring data (vibration, oil analysis)
Develop long-term reliability improvements to eliminate bad actors and improve business
reliability
Collaborate cross-functionally to support routine maintenance activities and adjust
scope of work as conditions change
Support technology development and improvements with research and development, vendors, joint venture participants and industry organizations
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
Minimum 4 years of field experience in an operating facility, troubleshooting rotating
equipment problems, are a must
Experience in providing short and long-term solutions to increase the reliability and
availability of the equipment is needed
Experience in conducting failure investigations using a variety of tools and
techniques is required
Experience with the following equipment is required at a minimum: centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, gearboxes, motors, and turbines
Experience with TA scope of work development and direct support during TA execution is a
plus
Should have membership or eligibility for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGA) as a Professional Engineer
