Mail Clerk Responsibilities:

- Sorting checks
- Keeping payroll records
- Taking inventory and distributing mail
- Communicating with customers, employees and other individuals to answer questions or explain information
- Answering telephones and directing calls
- Maintaining and updating filing, inventory, mailing and database systems

Mail Clerk Qualifications:

- High School diploma or GED typically required
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to keep information organized and confidential
- Previous experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
