Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Maintenance First Line Supervisor to work at one of Canada's largest petroleum refiners in Sarnia, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for directing or over-seeing work done by others in maintaining company facilities, owning and managing the relationship /contract with the Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) and construction providers, and this while focusing on the delivery of objectives and plans within agreed performance parameters, and driving continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise maintenance teams to help Operations deliver safe, reliable and profitable operations
Work actively to remove barriers to help ensure maintenance and project work activities meet its cost and time delivery goals
Collaborate with Planners/Schedulers to develop resource plan, verify and endorse cost estimates
Manage maintenance activities within budget, identify and capture efficiencies and prioritize work commitments
Be part of the Site Emergency Response team
Requirements and Qualifications:
Trade certificate is required or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within the discipline and/or previous experience in a closely related position
10 to 15 years of experience in: SSHE management - operations and maintenance, managing critical maintenance activities, maintenance planning, maintenance scheduling, turnaround planning, and maintenance management
Min 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience is a must
Possess an extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
Should have analytical thinking, collaboration, courage of conviction, sound decision-making, risk management skills and shows initiative
Able to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
Able to work effectively in a team environment both internally and externally
Able to gather information, assess alternate solutions and consequences, and implement solutions
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
