Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Maintenance Lead to work directly for our client located in Saskatoon, SK.  To qualify for this role, you must have solid hands-on experience with heavy-duty machinery, electronics, and hydraulics.

  • Location: Saskatoon, SK
  • Pay rate: $40/hour 
  • Required Availability: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment.
  • Assists with the coordination of building space and facility layout.
  • Completes the installation, movement, and removal of manufacturing machinery for the facility.
  • Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Oversee / Perform maintenance of facility, buildings, and grounds.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, engineering drawings, work orders, and other information sources to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Initiate purchase requisitions for equipment repair or machine spare parts and consumable parts.
  • Provide input and recommendations for equipment purchases and replacement.
  • Provide recommendations for cost control and productivity improvements.
  • Recognize unsafe acts and corrects the situation, making suggestions on creating a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Communicates with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
  • Solid hands-on experience with heavy-duty machinery, electronics and hydraulics is preferred.
  • Responsible for knowing and following all Standard Operating Procedures, Occupational Health & Safety, and site rules including maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing a strict standard of housekeeping in the immediate and surrounding work areas utilizing 5S principles.
  • Responsible for familiarity with MSDS of the chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
  • Previous supervisory experience an asset.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Specialized training in heavy-duty machinery, electronics and hydraulics is preferred.
