Adecco is currently recruiting to a full time permanent Maintenance Manager job in Delta, BC.  The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the maintenance department and plant assets.  This position requires initiative, leadership, excellent communication skills, and confidence. Your objective will be to improve the site reliability through technical preventative and proactive maintenance programs.

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct maintenance personnel, equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Inspect and evaluate physical plant, grounds, and related equipment.
  • Responsible for management of all 3rd party contractors to perform cost effective repairs, preventive maintenance on building equipment, and building and grounds appearance as well as manage all related maintenance supplies and parts inventory.
  • Responsible for team KPI’s, including OEE performance, work order completion and a preventative maintenance program.
  • Optimize cost through effective budget planning and management and service contracts.
  • Identify skills required to maintain reliable performance, conduct gap analysis and implement program to increase capability of maintenance team.
  • Play a key role in plant leadership including roles as HACCP team member and Health & Safety and SIM.   Is committed to maintain and sustain the Company’s Food Safety Culture and overall Food Safety Systems including compliance to applicable laws & regulations as it pertains to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI)  
     
  • Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will possess an engineering Degree/Diploma and/or relevant Journeyman Trades designation as a Millwright, Electrician, etc.
  • You will possess 7-10 years of experience in various manufacturing environments and in industrial repair and maintenance.
  • Experience with food processing, CFIA, HACCP, Continuous Improvement Process and/or lean manufacturing would be an asset along with SAP maintenance program experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Financial and budgetary experience.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced and demanding environment.
