Adecco is currently hiring a Maintenance Planner for a long-term contract to work full-time hours at a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands located in Fort McMurray, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance planning for an assigned scope/plant.

Responsibilities:
Work with technical to clearly understand the detailed scope and develop planning steps, assign resources, logic, priorities, and prepare job package binders
Work closely with other Outage Planners, Coordinators, Contractor Supervision, Execution Leaders to develop executable plans in SAP & Primavera P6 along with required job packages
Assess jobs for prefabrication possibilities, prepare and initiate work for execution
Create notifications for work requests for CMS and interface with CMS planners as required, monitor the status of prefab work, including offsite vendors
Field check job site for job plan and work face alignment
Participate with Technical in engineering reviews, outage work list reviews
Identify optimization opportunities, cost benefits and run multiple what-if scenarios
Align with execution and contractors on critical and subcritical path
Identify material requirements, develop MTOs and work with material coordinators/procurement to receive materials in-time without impact to Outage timing
Integrate shut down and start-up sequencing of tasks and liaise with operations
During the execution phase, update the plans and work with coordinators to ensure that correct steps are being worked
Manage found scope and contingency planning during the execution window
Work with schedulers for schedule integrity, analysis, look ahead reporting, camp forecasts and workforce mobilization/demobilization plans
Provide planning process updates of assigned units & sensitivities to the area leadership team
Provide estimation information for the plan to help develop overall cost estimation
Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Electrical or Instrumentation trade certification or technical diploma or engineering degree with planning experience is required
Knowledge of refinery/upgrader/Utility is preferred
5 – 10 years of field experience with some supervisory skills is a must
5 – 10 years of Turnaround or Maintenance planner experience is also a must
Should have outstanding computer proficiency as well as a working knowledge of planning principles and Primavera (P6) skills
Understanding of various trades to manage interferences in plans is required
Must have good interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer proficiency, especially in Word, Excel, Primavera (P6) & SAP
