Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to work at a reputable company in Nanticoke, ON. Shifts: 40 hours/weeks outside of Turnaround & 12-hour shifts including weekends during the Turnaround

Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates Safety as the top priority when scheduling work
Organize and lead schedule optimization reviews with Lead Planners and all vested personnel
Ensure overall efficient integration of shut-down schedule with the handover of equipment mechanical work, and sequenced turnover of equipment for start-up, for all units involved with the Turnaround
Manage and coordinate the utilization of Primavera for all scheduling functions, across all projects. This includes diagnosis and resolution of any issues and questions for all planning teams, and with the company application support
Monitor the consistent use of good scheduling practices across all planning teams and projects, including the use of resources, calendars, constraints, lags etc
Validate resource requirements for the total event, by block/contractor/etc
Ensure accuracy and integrity of resource leveling (whether manual or Primavera based), and resource histograms
Identify and monitor all critical and sub-critical paths for the total even
Validate the Turnaround duration for all units based on schedule analysis, potential risks, and anticipated contingency for weather and other events
Ensure the total event schedule is accurate and ready for Control Schedule Complete milestone timing
Validate consistency in planning updates, look-ahead reports and tracking tools
Validate the communication plan for turnaround team including all scheduling components
Assist support schedulers in establishing, creating, and maintaining baselines
Generate event-level reports, and assist with detail reporting. (i.e. status, lookahead and forecast reports)
Prepare and present Turnaround update package to managers
Interface with workforce and cost tracking.(i.e. file, exports, and provide percent completes
Resolve any scheduling issues, including negative float, out of sequence updates, resource overloads etc.
Mentor and train other Planners and support schedulers in the use of good planning and scheduling practices, and Primavera skills
Work with team to set up and conduct Post Turnaround critique of schedule
Qualifications:
Lead scheduler experience or relevant experience is required
FCC experience (fluid catalytic cracking) is mandatory
Proficient in P6 Primavera software
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
Able to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
