Adecco is currently recruiting to a full time permanent Maintenance Supervisor - Chemical Manufacturing job in Edmonton, AB.  The Maintenance Supervisor  - Chemical Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing the day to day general maintenance of all equipment and building as it pertains to his/her team.  In this hands on role you will oversee a small team of journeyman professionals while ensure all equipment is kept running at all times.

Maintenance Supervisor - Chemical Manufacturing Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preventative maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
  • Ensure uninterrupted day to day operations of plant buildings.
  • ·Responsible for developing  direct reports training and capable front line employees. Sets front-line performance standards providing coaching and feedback to build capability and improve performance.

    ·Applies theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of operations, repair procedures, trouble shooting and preventative maintenance to support facility equipment reliablity.

    ·Ensure health and safety and housekeeping procedures are followed to provide for a safe work environment for co-workers and visitors.

    ·Inventory maintenance, and planning, scheduling and organizing preventative maintenance programs.

    ·Ensure that all Company poes and regulatory requirements are implemented and adhered to on an ongoing basis.

    ·Supervise and train maintenance mechanics and electricians to ensure that maintenance department objectives are met.

    ·Ensure that the maintenance shop and other work areas are kept in a neat and orderly fashion and that all safety rules are practiced

     

    Qualifications:

    ·Diploma in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical preferred.

    ·7+Years of manufacturing/maintenance experience required.

    ·Red Seal Ticketed Electrician, Mechanic or Millwright is preferred.

    ·Minimum of 7+ years of experience working a supervisory/management role having electricians, mechanics and millwrights directly reporting to you.

    ·Strong leadership, decision making and communication skills.

    ·Project management and lean manufacturing experience are an asset.

    ·Knowledge of automated machine controls including proficiency in programming of PLC’S as well as machine design and fabrication.

    ·Ability to trouble shoot, electrical and mechanical issues.

    ·Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office Programs such Outlook, Word and Excel.
