Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Maintenance Technician to work for our client in Mississauga, ON. In this role you would be responsible for implementing changes in the facility layout through relocating equipment, benches, workstations and services connected to them. This role requires a valid Ontario Driver’s license, forklift, and scissors lift license/certification.
Pay rate: $18.00 - $20.00 /hour
Location: Mississauga, ON
Shifts: Monday to Friday | 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Responsibilities:
Knowledge of GMP practices
Familiar with 5S processes and Lean Manufacturing Concepts
Be prime in implementing changes in the facility layout through relocating equipment, benches, workstations and services connected to them.
Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
Document and implement all cost saving opportunities as they are presented.
Implement Error Proofing devices.
Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
Excellent knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
Basic computer and report writing skills.
Good communication & time-management skills.
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Valid Ontario Driver’s license and forklift and scissors lift license/certification.
Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and building codes.
