Adecco is currently hiring for a Temporary (8 months) Manager, Financial Reporting in Scarborough, ON. To qualify for this Manager, Financial Reporting role, you must be a Chartered Accountant with in-depth IFRS knowledge and experience with preparation or reviewing of Financial Statements and other public company filings. This role also requires strong computer and IT skills. Our client is Canadian multinational electronics manufacturing services company.

Manager, Financial Reporting Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the consolidation of financial results (using Khalix tool), includes detailed analysis of IFRS 15 adjustments and reporting of overall impact, review of hedging, pensions, inventory analysis, analyzing complex transactions, acquisitions, etc.
  • Subject matter expert on IFRS, including research, preparing memos and advising on the accounting/reporting impacts, while working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Develop training for sites, sharing of best practices and a focus on continuous improvement (including completing the automation of IFRS15 reporting)
  • Prepare quarterly reports to management and board of directors
  • Prepare /review quarterly and annual consolidated and statutory FS note disclosures as well as the MD&A, 20F, and proxy; and Ad hoc projects.


Manager, Financial Reporting Qualifications:


  • CA with minimum of 6 years’ experience (including industry), University degree in related field
  • Experience dealing with large multi-national public companies in Canada or the US
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS standards and ability to do research (including working knowledge of topics such as IFRS 15, pensions, foreign currency, IFRS 9 financial instruments and hedging, debt instruments, interest rate swaps, fair value measurements, IFRS 16, business combinations, stock-based compensation, etc.)
  • Previous experience with preparation or review of other public company documents including FS, MD&A, 20F/10K or proxy, or debt/equity offerings
  • Strong IT and computer skills, advanced Excel including macros, consolidations experience in Khalix/Hyperion or SAP, Business Objects, Wdesk, Reval treasury system, SAP interface, etc;
