Adecco Professional has partnered with an established and growing pharmaceutical client to recruit for a full-time, permanent Manager, Financial Reporting job opening in Oakville, ON.  You will be a key member to lead the execution of financial reporting while ensuring compliance with all related accounting legislations and mentoring/leading a small team. 

Some of the responsibilities of the Manager, Financial Reporting job opening in Oakville, ON include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the preparation of monthly financial reporting package which includes the MD&A, MTD & YTD financial statements and reporting on business KPIs
  • Provide budgeting support and insightful variance to budget and prior year analysis
  • Assist with cash flow analysis and forecasts
  • Review reconciliations, journal entries, accounting memos and other work papers
  • Ensure robust controls are in place to address key operational and financial reporting risks
  • Shorten the month-end and year-end financial close process through process, technology and training initiatives
  • Manage year-end audit queries and information requests for the principal operating business
  • Remain up to date with developments in accounting standards
  • Ensure tax and regulatory complains returns are submitted in a timely manner
  • Analyze complex accounting issues and prepare technical memos
  • Manage business requests around new GL accounts and financial statement line items
  • Standardize accounting policies and procedures
  • Lead, coach and mentor a small team; delegating where necessary but being very hands on.
  •  The requirements for the Manager, Financial Reporting job opening in Oakville, ON include but are also not limited to:

  • CPA (CA, CGA, CMA) Designation
  • A minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting and finance experience with at least 1-2 years in a managerial capacity
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; leadership and hands-on personality
  • Strong technical skills in MS Office, advanced Excel and also ERP systems; implementation experience a strong asset
  • High level of detail, strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work in a time-sensitive and fast paced environment
  • Strong business acumen, GAAP understanding and related compliance/legislative requirements
