Manager, Grants and Contributions

Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time, permanent Grants and Contributions Manager for a community in Atlin, BC, that is well known tourist attraction all year round.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer ("CAO"), the Manager, Grants and Contributions will play an important senior role within our client's finance department in addition to supervision of two colleagues (Accounts Payable Clerk and Payroll Administrator). This role works closely with the leadership team to assist in achieving our client's goals.

Our client provides benefits and a pension plan after three months of employment and will pay for flight or mileage if you have a vehicle to move to their community.

  • Salary: $75,000-85,000
  • Location: Atlin, British Columbia
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent
  • Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the accounting contractor/senior accountant/auditors in preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Reconciling general ledgers, invoicing and credit care statements
  • Resolve invoicing issues, any accounting discrepancies and other financial related concerns, monitor non payments and other irregularities
  • Assist in setting and managing budgets and maintains all financial records according to set policies and procedures
  • Work closely with the leadership team to secure government funding
  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Accounting or a CGA/CMA/CA designation partnered with three to four years of experience in a similar role working closely with the financial leadership team
  • Experience working in SAGE, SAP would be considered an asset and proficient in MS Office software
  • Knowledge of general accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes
  • Police clearance is required for this role
