Adecco is currently hiring a Market Development Manager. This is an 18-month contract with a pay rate of $50.00 - $60.00 per hour located in Downtown Toronto. The Market Development Manager will help identify relevant business opportunities and define priorities to drive business growth. To qualify for this role, you must have strategic thinking skills, strong business acumen and the ability to collect, prioritize and synthesize large amounts of qualitative and quantitative information.  It is also important to summarize and present your findings to various leadership functions across the business. You must have B2B and experience in Consulting, Retail and E-Commerce fields are considered a strong asset.

 


Responsibilities

  • Works with internal and external sources to gather and evaluate customer, competitor, market and company performance information to identify market development opportunities and threats; defines requirements and pursues research and information gathering to respond to general inquiries and business objectives.
  • Gathers and analyzes financial, internal business performance; assesses implications and recommends strategies and courses of action to inform executive or team decision-making
  • Develops strategic and innovative approaches and programs to strengthen the position in defined target markets and/or to develop our presence in new markets
  • As part of the Commercial Marketing team, works closely with Marketing, Sales and Lines of Business to develop frameworks and strategies to ensure Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams are successful
  • Develops financial and market performance KPIs to allow for program monitoring against strategic, corporate and operating goals. Evaluates results and effectiveness of the strategies
  • Develops and maintains an external network to regularly benchmark and remain current on future trends and developments related to industry performance, developments, and customer performance.


Qualifications:

  • MBA or bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration, or equivalent education with relevant experience
  • 6+ years’ experience in a Marketing or Strategic Planning role; experience in a B2B environment is an asset
  • Proven ability to leverage available information (qualitative & quantitative) to identify market or customer insights, highlight relevancy & implications for the business and define strategic direction for growth
  • Someone who is highly curious, self-motivated and confident; must be able to work independently and with little supervision; consulting experience considered an asset
  • Experience in a complex and large organizations
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills to present to multiple stakeholders at multiple levels; proven ability to motivate and influence others
  • Experience working with Marketing and Sales Teams
  • Expert in PowerPoint & Excel
