Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Manufacturing Team Leader to work directly for our client located in Vaughan, ON.  In this role, as the Integration, split and shipping Leader, you will be accountable for the Integration, split and shipping team within our Machines Manufacturing Business ensuring quality standards and delivery commitments are met prior to shipment.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily oversight and direction to the Integration, Split and shipping team to ensure operational objectives are met
  • Troubleshoot/assist in resolving all production issues affecting delay in Integration, split and machine shipment
  • Lead/participate in continuous improvement initiatives with specific focus on changing processes/procedures
  • Conduct scheduling, capacity planning and process development working closely with
  • Project Engineering to ensure customer requests are satisfied
  • Active member of the Core Team for Trade Certifications (CTPAT, AEO)
  • Support various departments within the business, coordinate/plan production support activities
  • Adhere to customer shipment schedules, ensuring customer standards and procedures are met and adhered to
  • Lead, Manage and Develop the team, which includes but is not limited to coaching, mentoring and cross training
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams; Sales, Development Engineering, Project Management/Application Solutioning and Specials Engineering as situation demands
  • Ensure quality standards and delivery commitments are met
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of all people in the team
  • Closely monitors the Machines production schedule & aligns to the priorities
  • Designs & implements KPIs & metrics to monitor the health of processes & the effectiveness of the team
  • Recognizes & implements changes in pre-staging area that may result in higher productivity or increased efficiencies that benefit the company
  • Applies effective communication & motivational techniques when supervising & coaching
  • Completes & delivers team member performance reviews
  • Fosters a team environment that promotes continuous learning
  • Communicates company goals/philosophies/strategies to Team Members
  • Conducts team safety meetings & provides input to increase safety in the workplace
  • Assess training needs for staff, as well as temporary workers ensuring that all department personnel are appropriately trained & that the training satisfies the company’s training requirements
  • Requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Post-secondary education (College or University Degree in Engineering, Business &/or Manufacturing Systems preferred) coupled with 3 years demonstrated competency through work experience.
  • 3 - 5 years progressive experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of internal customer needs & has the ability to deliver on expectations
  • Possesses an intense focus on details
  • Possesses strong leadership & motivation skills
  • Has well-developed scheduling & organization skills
  • Has good understanding/awareness of Husky injection molding machine architecture, assembly processes & component nomenclature
  • Has strong working knowledge of the various ERP sessions used to manage Materials functions
  • Familiar with Husky quality management systems
  • Has strong knowledge of inventory control processes at Husky
  • Has good computer literacy in spreadsheet & word processing applications
  • Has strong problem-solver & has good facilitation skills.
  • Has mature presentation skills
  • Possesses solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation
