Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Material Handler – at our Ottawa, ON client’s medical manufacturing facility. These are 12 hour shifts and must be flexible for day time and overnight. The hourly rate of pay is based on experience and shift.

Requirements for Material Handler Role -

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience with Kitting
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast paced, repetitive environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • An effective team player
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and Word
  • Clean criminal record
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts

 

Responsibilities for Material Handler Role –

 

  • Manages assembly components inventory kept on-site and off-site as well as Consumables kept in the stores.
  • Responds to information requests concerning availability, alternatives and entitlement.
  • Suggest and justify changes and improvements in the inventory management procedures.
  • Recommends changes to inventory Min./Max. levels and inventory locations.
  • Keeps inventory accuracy current with real time data entry and through cycle counting program and addresses inventory problems in the direct area and other departments.
  • Operates materials mgt. equipment; e.g., jiggers and manually lifts and moves items up to 40 lbs.
  • Ensures that the stock rooms are maintained in an organized, clean, safe and secure manner including proper storage of high value, sensitive or dangerous goods.
  • Maintains internal contacts with kitting department for material supply on daily basis.
  • Maintains external contacts with off-site warehouses for company inventory management.
