Adecco is currently recruiting for a Material Handler (Tow Motor) for a permanent placement with our client in Toronto. 

The Material Handler will be reporting to the Department Manager, the primary job function is to perform material handling duties with a forklift, and general labor duties to ensure a continuous production flow within the department.  Works in a normal production environment with exposure to temperature changes and safety hazards associated with general labor work. 

The Material Handler will have the following responsibilities; Safely operate a clamp/fork truck.  Material handling of foam blocks from plant areas to department lines.  Operate baler and bale trim.  Ensure quality control specifications are met.  Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained.  Other duties as requested by management.

The Material Handler must meet the following requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  Ability to drive a forklift/clamp truck or ability to obtain license.

Able to interpret and work with numbers and measurements.  Able to lift between 20 – 40 lbs.  General understanding of PPE and use.  Adaptable and flexible for any change of daily tasks.

Communicates effectively with employee inquiries or comments.  Strong organizational and time management skills considered an asset.  Ability to work under minimal to no supervision.
