Adecco is currently recruiting for a Material Management Coordinator for a 3-Month contract with an Organization in Ottawa, ON. 

The Material Management Coordinator have the following responsibilities:
Spare parts material management:
-    Responsible for the Inventory of material at the organizations Logistics Centre by: 
-    Receiving, ii. Recording, iii. Processing, iv. Auditing, v. Storing, and vi. Shipping 
-    Always maintain inventory stock levels using Min/Max analysis 
-    Reconcile invoices from OEMs with shipping and receiving waybills
-    Perform cycle counting of stock held at the Logistics Centre 
-    Ensure accuracy of database
Ship stock from Logistics Centre low Maintenance Centers (physically and in database) 
-    This includes the handling of fragile, expensive static sensitive, large and sometimes heavy parts and test instruments or test cases 
-    Ensures shipment is complete, Items properly secured in container, and package adequately labeled and accompanied by the necessary packing slips and other documents 
-    Enters data relevant to shipments for tracking purposes and always maintains record of Incoming and outgoing shipments 
Receives stock from suppliers or maintenance centers (physically and in database) 
-    Unpacking shipment and checking contents against packing slip for equipment model and serial numbers 
-    Accept material in database 
-    Examines shipments for any signs of damage, or shortages and ensures any evidence of damage or short shipment is noted on the bill of lading and certified by the carrier

Performs other related duties such as keeping the storage area clean and efficient to ensure ease of retrieval and the conduct of the inventory count;

The Material Management Coordinator must meet the following mandatory requirements:
•    Good organizational skills in maintaining an inventory database, follow-up procedures & managing conflicting deadlines, customer Service oriented;
•    Capacity to meet continuous deadlines and to work under stress;
•    Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, Access & Outlook and be able to run reports and make recommendations to streamline operation;
•    Experience with MAXIMO would be an asset Knowledge;
•    Knowledge of packing, shipping, receiving and storage techniques;
•    Knowledge of physical characteristics, protection requirement and general function of a wide variety of electronic equipment and components for purchasing and shipping; 

Nice to have:
•    Operates hand pallet jack or forklift to ship, receive and store spare parts;
•    Functional knowledge of the Oracle database and purchasing module;
•    Trained on WHMIS, TDG, Safe Lifting, Standard First Aid;
•    Knowledge of Depot work order system and the OEM/RMA processes;
