Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Mechanical Assembler for our client, a leading electronics manufacturing company located in Markham, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the flow of product through the manual assembly processes of the production.   • Pay rate: $16/hour
  • Location: Markham, ON  
  • Shifts: 3:30 PM-12:00 AM (Afternoon)
  • Job type: Full-time | 12 months contract
  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the flow of product through the final assembly & integration processes production
  • Identifying and resolving process/equipment/tools requirements with the Production Supervisor
  • Aligning, fitting and assembling component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and templates
  • Installing electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using hand soldering and hand tools
  • Moving products to final QC or the next step in accordance with the priorities set by the Supervisor
  • Ensuring all the problems found during the first off inspection have been highlighted to the Supervisor
  • Ensuring that each board is being properly scanned through the system, reading instructions in the training aid for any queries
  • Ensuring quality standards are maintained all through the production
  • Reporting all issues concerned with parts, orientation and other to the attention of the Supervisor
  • Making sure housekeeping is being done at all stations and is maintained at all times
  • Performing other tasks as required
  • Qualifications:

  • Completion of High School required
  • Must have experience in box assembly or mechanical assembly
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Must have strong computer skills and ability to understand software systems
  • Ability to read/interpret test documentations and schematics
  • Must have knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole and SMT components, drawings and BOMS
  • Must have knowledge of quality systems and ESD control
  • Must be familiar with IPC Standards and ISO 9002
  • Must pay close attention to details in all areas of work and have strong analytical skills
  • Must possess good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Must have good work ethic and housekeeping skills
  • Ability to lift at least 30Ibs
  • Police/criminal background check is required
