Adecco is currently recruiting for a permanent Mechanical Assembly Technician, to work at a well-established manufacturer in Sidney BC. The ideal candidate will have a red seal journeyman mechanic/millwright trade certificate, apprenticeship or equivalent international accreditation, and is capable of lifting up to 50 Lbs.   • Location: Sidney BC
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday; Day, evening and night shifts available; overtime
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent

    • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and comply with all Company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook, Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, written procedures, and verbal instructions
  • Actively participate in, and contribute to, continuous improvement and safety initiatives in the workplace

    •  Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Journeyperson, apprentice, or equivalent international accreditation in mechanical skill related trades including, millwright, machinist, heavy duty mechanic, automotive mechanic, autobody mechanic, plumbing, gas fitting, planar mill technicians, maintenance technicians and similar trades
  • 2+ years of experience in a related role is preferred
  • Able to lift parts weighing 50 lbs, and stand for the duration of the shift
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Available for day, afternoon, or weekend shifts
  • Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is considered an asset
  • Apprentices will be paid the rate equivalent to their level of training
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
