Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Mechanical Design Engineer to work directly for our client located in Bowmanville, ON. Our client is a fast-paced manufacturing company that is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented engineer with established design skills.  

  • Location: Bowmanville, ON
  • Salary: $65k-$80k/year depending on experience
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent

    • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct self-directed study of current design standards for new designs
  • Provide detailed design records, sales and production support, equipment instructions
    and after-sales support for range of products.
  • Understand and apply geometric tolerancing and dimensioning
  • Teamwork with multiple departments for mutual support of common goals
  • Adopt new products and process introductions as required.
  • Actively prioritize tasks to match pace with dynamic production schedules
  • Provide live production floor support and after-sales customer assistance
  • Uphold continuous improvement focus and accountability.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

    • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng., B.Sc. preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience working in a mechanical design role
  • Active proficiency with AutoCAD and Office software
  • Intermediate knowledge of steel fabrication and manufacturing techniques
  • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proactive time management and independent workload optimization skills
