Adecoo is parntering with a global health care organization to find a recently graduated mechanical engineer and designer to join an outstanding, growing, team in the Barrie area.
If you are interested in learning mechanical engineering from the conceptual phase through designing, all the way to production for new products in the health care industry. This may be the opportunity you are looking for.
Responsibilities include:
• Utilizing working knowledge of Solidworks to design/detail conveyor systems, components and equipment as per project requirements and design standards.
• Preparing drawing packages for procurement, fabrication and/or assembly.
• Assisting with the implementation of drawing standards, design tools and overall efficiencies throughout the company using Solidworks and AutoCad.
• Developing a thorough understanding of the capabilities of AutoCad and how to apply it towards the products.
• Creating long-term efficiencies through standard design and standard work.
• Understand and follow the design-ordering-assembly process.
• Work collaboratively in a bottom-up design method when required.
• Educating oneself on our products, suppliers, customers and competitors.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail.
• Eagerly tackle non-design projects (i.e. cost estimating; drawing libraries; etc.).
• Practice self-motivation while working individually or as part of a team.
• Organize and documented drawings, procedures, programs and data.

Requirements:
- 2-3 years of mechanical engineering experience
- intent to acquire a P.Eng designation
Experience in mechanical design and working with autoCad and Solidworks
