Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Mechanical Engineer- Building Systems for our client, an iconic and well-established company majoring in agricultural technology located in Sedley and Regina, SK. In this role, you will be responsible for providing conceptual design at the early stages of projects and develop the concept to high quality detailed design while coordinating with all disciplines.

This role requires occasional travel to work sites in Sedley and Regina. The successful candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean abstract with the ability to travel in between sites to conduct mechanical inspections and prepare reports.

  • Salary: $60,000-70,000/year

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform compliance reviews of design-build contract documents and drawings
  • Design HVAC, Controls, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems
  • Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using standard industry programs (i.e., Carrier HAP)
  • Perform calculations, conduct design drawing reviews, and field investigations
  • Ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards
  • Working knowledge of the LEED rating system, or other green rating systems
  • Write/ edit mechanical specification
  • Occasional travel to construction sites to conduct mechanical inspections and prepare reports
  • Must be able to prepare written reports and deliver results in a clear manner to technical or non-technical audience
  • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Saskatchewan
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of work experience in the construction industry
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with doing Mechanical Design Work within the Building Industry
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, and Microsoft Office software
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to lead presentations
  • Preference will be given to candidates that have in-depth knowledge of HVAC, Hydronic Systems, Controls, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems
  • Design knowledge of large-scale boiler / chiller plants and distribution networks, district heating/cooling and co-generation systems is highly desirable
  • Must be organized and able to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects at the same time
