Excellent contract opportunity for the right candidate!!  Adecco is currently hiring for a 6 to 9 month contract as a Mechanical Technician in Ajax, On.  To qualify for this position, you MUST have 3+ years experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulic systems repair and installation, welding and pass a detailed criminal background check. $30 + 4% per hour based on experience.

Mechanical Technician Responsibilities:

  • Assembles and maintain test rigs and associated mechanical equipment
  • Install and maintain hydraulic systems and equipment.
  • Perform fitting tasks on aircraft test components
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Modify and fabricate test rigs and fixtures
  • May be required to supervise and /or give direction to contractors
  • Operate within SLS or Government HS&E guidelines
  • Maintain acceptable cleanliness levels in test lab and associate areas


Mechanical Technician Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a technical college with Millwright Maintenance technician or equivalent certification
  • 5+ years experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and hydraulic schematics
  • Ability to operate a variety of machine tools
  • Experience welding and fabricating
  • Experience with hydraulics including tube bending and installation
  • Competent decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work shifts and overtime when required
