Adecco is currently recruiting for a permanent, Metal Fabricator, to work at a well-established manufacturer in Sidney BC. The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman/woman Fabricator/Fitter trade certificate, apprenticeship or equivalent international accreditation, and is capable of working at heights.   • Pay rate: $39.55/hour - Union
  • Location: Sidney BC
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday; Day, evening and night shifts available; overtime
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent

    • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and comply with all Company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook, Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
  • Ensure parts are produced to specifications, and verify workpiece dimensions are correct and made within tolerances.
  • Actively participate in, and contribute to, continuous improvement and safety initiatives in the workplace.

    • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Journeyman/woman Fabricator/Fitter trade certificate, apprentices or equivalent international accreditation.
  • 1+ years of Fabricator/Fitter experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift parts weighing 50 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is considered an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and be available for shift work as needed
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
