Our client in Toronto, ON is looking for a Millwright to join their team on a fulltime permanent basis.

Millwright description:

Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and Team Leader in the Maintenance Department
To perform a variety of skilled functions utilizing welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, and demonstrate a solid mechanical aptitude
To prevent equipment failure through analysis, parts replacement and care of machinery by means of an approved maintenance program
To repair any machinery breakdowns in the shortest possible time and make an analysis of the failure to determine the reason and prevention of any future similar breakdown
To construct pieces of equipment and machine parts from blueprints and/or broken parts
To work closely with machine operators to identify and analyze minor problems, taking corrective action in order that they do not develop into larger problems
To participate in the installation of entirely new or re-located lines with regard to piping, air equipment, water and hydraulics
To work within OHSA and ensure all regulations and requirements are adhered to
To ensure proper fit and operation of machine parts and meeting specifications
To immediately notify the Maintenance Manager and shift Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding safety procedures
To continually meet company housekeeping and safety requirements, to identify and report any safety hazards within the plant, meet all WHMIS objectives and standards ensuring that all safety procedures are met
To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Maintenance Manager in a timely and professional manner

Millwright requirements:

Must hold a valid Industrial Millwright’s license in Ontario
2-5 Years of experience as a Industrial Millwright
Experience in a high speed manufacturing environment is a key asset
Ability to learn quickly
Must be able to verbally communicate effectively
Ability to work a continental 12-hour shifts schedule in Toronto (rotating two weeks days two weeks nights)
Millwrights must have a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot
Must be customer service focused for all the internal customers
Exhibit integrity, honesty and be willing to work both hard and smart to support the operations team and our customers
