Adecco is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Millwright - Red Seal, to work at our client, a reputable company in Port Moody, BC. In this role, you will be performing scheduled and breakdown repairs as required by the facility. The ideal candidate has a Millwright Red Seal Certification and is able to lift and control a minimum of 50 Lbs load from floor level to standing position. If you have what it takes, apply now!

  • Pay rate: $48 /Hour
  • Shifts:  Monday -Friday | 7 AM – 3:30 PM (Potential for evening and weekend callouts at overtime rates)
  • Location: Port Moody, BC
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent

    • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to site safety standards and policies to ensure that all work is carried out safely for all staff, contractors, and site visitors
  • Perform scheduled and breakdown repairs as required by the facility including pumps (gear, centrifugal, air actuated diaphragm, reciprocating), valves and piping systems, agitation systems (up to 50 hP), fans, blowers, mechanical seals (single, double, lip) and sealing devices (packing, etc.)
  • Perform troubleshooting of equipment reliability issues and aid in developing repair plans to address the problem
  • Complete work orders and report results to management and daily shift logs and updating of plant equipment files
  • Aid in the selection of required components and determine quantities to be ordered for completion of repairs and necessary spare stock
  • Install and modify existing and new piping systems
  • Become knowledgeable in the application of all site Maintenance and Safety Procedures
  • Perform minor structural, painting, concrete, insulation, and light sheet metal work

    • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Millwright Red Seal Certification is required
  • 5 years of industrial maintenance experience is preferred
  • Previous experience and skill in troubleshooting instrumentation would be an asset
  • Able to lift and control a minimum of 50 lbs load from floor level to standing position
  • Able to regularly walk, bend, squat, climb stairs/ladders/scaffolds in both indoor and outdoor environments, year-round.
  • Capable of wearing required PPE including full face, respirator, safety boots, safety glasses, and hard hat
  • Can work in cramped spaces including confined spaces
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
