Adecco is currently recruiting to a full time permanent Millwright/Machinist job in Edmonton, AB.  The Millwright/Machinist will be responsible for installing and maintaining equipment for a well-established manufacturer of construction materials located in north Edmonton.

Our client is offering a competitive hourly salary of $40-$45 to start based on qualifications.  This is a full time 40 hour work week also offering medical and dental benefits, an employee safety incentive program, and an RRSP contribution plan.  A stable work environment with room for career advancement is also being offered!

Millwright/Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support to a continuous process manufacturing plant
  • Perform a range of maintenance functions from simple repairs to complex equipment rebuilds
  • Demonstrate knowledge of rotating equipment and alignment
  • Mentor junior technicians as they perform maintenance
  • Perform Root cause failure analysis
  • Take initiative to identify, maintain, and repair equipment issues
  • Complete work in a timely manner to meet production commitments
  • Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a Red Seal Journeyman Millwright certification coupled with a trades Machinist ticket or be a 3rd year Apprenticeship Journeyman Millwright and possess a Machinist certification.
  • Three years experience as a maintenance Millwright in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
  • Strong working knowledge on safe work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision independently or in a group
  • Must be willing and available to work 12-hour continental shifts
  • Must possess your own transportation to get to and from work
