Adecco is currently recruiting to a full time permanent Millwright/Mechanic - Manufacturing job in Edmonton, AB.  The Millwright/Mechanic - Manufacturing will be working as part of an installation/maintenance team of Journeyman professionals for a Canadian owned, privately held company with a global reputation for quality products and outstanding customer service.

The successful candidate will have working experience within a manufacturing environment and will be able to successfully preform preventative maintenance on building and production equipment.

Our client is offering a competitive hourly salary + overtime, benefits and a stable, healthy work environment.  You must be available to work a morning/afternoon shift as well as an afternoon/evening shift rotation.

Millwright/Mechanic - Manufacturing Responsibilities:


•Perform preventative maintenance on building and production equipment.

•Daily routine maintenance on production equipment.

•Repair equipment that is off line to minimize interruption to production.

•Make recommendations and initiate improvements in safety and efficiency on production equipment if and as required.

•Trouble shoot ladder logic and PLC’s

•Monitor operations of production machinery to ensure safe reliable operation.

•Install new equipment as required.

•Ensure all safety guards and devices are in place and procedures are followed in the plant whilst working.

• Assist to maintain, test, troubleshoot and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems

•Assist with other duties as requested.

 

Qualifications:

 
•Minimum three years maintenance experience in a manufacturing production environment preferred.

•Knowledge of blow molding and plastics equipment would be an asset along with experience working in a filling/packaging facility.

•Skilled Trades Certificate Preferred-Industrial Mechanic or Millwright Trade

•Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
