Are you a registered RN or RPN and have at least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment?   Then look no further.  Our client in beautiful picturesque Collingwood is looking to add an Occupational Health Nurse to their team to oversee health services for their Collingwood and Whitby locations

The Role:

· Manage all issues with WSIB, Short Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) claims; working with employee and insurance company for both plants

· Collaborate with the HR and H&S teams

· Process all WSIB Form 7’s and actively manages each WSIB claims.

· Coordinate Functional Ability Evaluations; Coordinates hearing tests

· Update all Occupational Health related policies and procedures i.e. Return to Work, Permanent Restrictions.

· Direct the development, implementation and evaluation of the Occupational Health Program for the plant to meet established goals and objectives.

· Regular visibility on the manufacturing floor.

· Provides ergonomic support for all jobs – office and manufacturing

· Provides support to team leaders and manager regarding work accommodations

· Coordinates / Conducts First Aid and CPR certification training

Qualifications:

· Nursing Degree/Diploma with a Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing

· Registered RN or RPN

· At least 5 - 7 years’ experience working in manufacturing environment in Occupational Health and this experience must include complex claims management

· Current and valid certification in CPR, certification to teach CPR and first aid

· Approachable and understands the importance of confidentiality

· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
