Office Support Clerk


Adecco is currently hiring for a Office Support Clerk in Waterloo, ON. To be considered for this Office Support Clerk role you must have experience with mail reviewing and sorting. Our client is a leading insurance company and within this role, you will be responsible for receiving, opening, sorting, delivering all incoming mail, outputting and couriering to the various business units within the Canadian Division. This is a 5-month full time contract position, with the possibility of extension and has a pay rate of $14.50 per hour. The shift hours will be from 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The Office Support Clerk Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure that all incoming mail and courier is received, sorted and delivered in a timely fashion and the timely and accurate handling of all outgoing mail and courier destined to customers and advisors
  • Accurate handling and distribution of cheques, contracts and statements to internal and external customers
  • Maintain email inboxes with timely and accurate action of email inquiries/print requests
  • Investigate and resolve inquiries
  • Assist with ad hoc projects handled by Document Management Services Project intake team.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our internal partners
  • The Office Support Clerk Qualifications Include:

  • Must have a good understanding of the Canadian Division business and distribution channels.
  • Critical attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong, multi-tasking, organizational and prioritizing skills for a high volume, deadline driven environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Mapping database, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Work with various business systems (Navigator, Clients 2, Mainframe IIC systems,), DSS, AWD
  • Ability to cope effectively with fluctuating volumes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, precise communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as on a team.
  • Excellent understanding of Advisor contract provisions, practices and terminology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage change.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent PC skills, both in speed and accuracy.
  • Strong overall knowledge of business units, line areas, and their products.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job. Some heavy lifting is required up to 50lbs.
