Position Overview:

Adecco Canada is pleased to announce our partnership with HEXO Corp to fulfill permanent, full-time positions for their new Belleville, ON location. Adecco is currently accepting resumes for the position of Oil Product Processing . Reporting to the Director of Processing, The Manager will be responsible for all oil product processing, including extraction, dewaxing, formulation, and primary packaging for oil products. Shift Information: Start Time 8:00am

Position Start Date: March 1, 2019 Location: Belleville, ON

Position Responsibilities:
Maintain Oil product production schedule in conjunction with Production Planner, Harvest, Dried Processing, Logistics, Packaging and Sales.
Plan, organize and monitor work flow for all activities: work with the supervisors and team leads to ensure proper allocation of tasks and implementation of efficient work practices;
Plan, organize, monitor and participate in workflow for oil production: allocate tasks to team members and oversee execution;
Liaise with facilities for proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities used is the process;
Ensure the collaboration of Oil Processing teams with the Quality Assurance team to: Lot product for sale;
Collect and submit samples for analysis;
Observe control points and equipment, as well as monitor resources to ensure quality standards are met;
Compile, sort, analyze data and report on production performance.
Make recommendations for improvement;
Develop and implement cost reduction solutions whenever possible, while maintain product quality; Assist in the development and continuous improvement of reporting systems;
Hire, train and supervise employees;
Assess individual and team performances, create and implement appropriate action plans as required;
Lead by example and ensure all employees adhere to Hexo rules and procedures, as well as safe and sanitary working procedures and practices at all times;
Regular mentor-ship of supervisory roles.
Assist the Director of Processing in other projects from time to time.

Position Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity with preference given to those with direct experience working in a managerial/supervisory role within a manufacturing/warehousing facility A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the realm of manufacturing Degree/Diploma in a relevant field of study
Strong organization skills to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery and to fully understand manufacturing processes
Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a large group of associates
Must be creative, analytical, skilled at problem resolution and must possess a sense of urgency
Thorough understanding of the logistics and financial side of manufacturing including POs, invoices, and budgets
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including walking for long periods, standing for extended periods, sitting for extended periods and lifting as needed
Strong communication skills (oral and written) in the English Language
Bilingualism would be considered an asset
Intermediate skills in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet Explorer and Search Engines, and the ability to easily adapt to new programs
